Why Internet Marketing need's 'Slapped' and why it's time to change...

I can remember it all too clearly..

Back in 1999, when I began my
journey online there were only 5-10
'experts' in Internet Marketing.

It was a wonderful place to live
in, a safe environment where you
could work and breathe without
being poisoned with some hyped
up product.

Fast forward and the industry,
started to change. The 'sharks'
smelt blood and entered our
market place and started
destroying the industry..

What happened?

Simple really...

Greed. Products upon products
started to filter into the market
place like a tidal wave - relentless
and not caring about the damage
it left in it's wake...

People running up HUGE debts
on credit cards, in some cases
taking equity out of their homes
just to become another victim of
a vicious scam.

I monitored everything, my blood
boiling every second of the day
until it was too much.

That was when the 'Guru Slayer'
was born - a guide created for
an ordinary person to follow a
step by step plan online.

Not hype, not fluff or any BS. Short,
sharp, crisp and to the point.
No high price tag, no hard
selling...

I only hope it will help the market
place return to the state we
once had it in...

Warm Regards,

Andrew Fox

5 Personality Traits of a Super Affiliate

An overwhelming number of people are flocking to the internet to get their share of the online riches. One of the most popular business ventures for work at home beginners is affiliate marketing. With no boss, no deadlines and no stock to deal with, the popularity of affiliate marketing continues to grow. With so much attractive appeal one would think that just about everyone can succeed at affiliate marketing. However, only 20 percent of people doing affiliate marketing are successful and all of them have these five qualities.

1. Investing themselves With any task you must invest the time and effort that is needed to make it work. If you are not invested in your business, dont expect it to grow. Floods of money will not be pouring into your account in the beginning of your affiliate marketing journey. And like every journey its the little day to day steps that truly make the difference.

2. Willing to learn Affiliate marketing is applied knowledge. In order to apply the steps used by the masters, you must first be willing to learn the steps. While many people do invest time and effort in building their business very few take time to learn how to build a successful business from scratch. There are several ways an affiliate can get lost in the industry and fail but there are also many ways for an affiliate to succeed. This is done by keeping an open mind and welcoming ideas and suggestions given to you by those who have a firm understanding of the business.

3. Determination As an affiliate marketer you must possess the ability to push yourself. 80 percent of people fail because the lack the determination to reach further, climb higher and go farther. This perhaps stems from a lack of self discipline, which brings me to quality four.

4. Discipline All successful affiliate marketers have a strong sense of self-discipline. They are able to get themselves to take action regardless of their emotional state. Thus they are able to accomplish more in a faster period of time. Their marketing goals are not just set for the sake of having a goal, they are done deals. It is virtually guaranteed that they will follow through with every goal they set because they have made the conscious decision to do so.

5. Optimism A positive attitude is the key to succeeding at virtually everything, including affiliate marketing. Why be optimistic? Optimism means explaining setbacks to yourself in ways that gives you resilience, strength and determination. Optimism improves yor ability to succeed. Your attitude towards your business should always be good even if things are not going the way you planned.

You can be among the 20 percent of affiliate marketers who are living the net marketing dream. It starts with building theses qualities within you. They are essential to your success as an affiliate marketer.

Affiliate Marketing - Sell What The Public Already Knows

Affiliate marketing has changed the nature of retail sales in the past few years. As a way to increase sales, companies that provide retail products have begun to enlist help in the form of affiliates - people who promote the product for them in exchange for a portion of the sales price. The affiliates do not really sell the product; they merely advertise it or create Web pages that review or promote the product. Their ads or Websites will have special links that point to the retailer's site, and should the customer buy, both seller and affiliate make money.

It's an effective system for both the affiliate and the retailer; the seller only pays if the affiliate delivers and the affiliate never has to carry inventory. The market can be brutally competitive, however, as there are hundreds of thousands of people on the Internet who are trying to earn money through affiliate sales. Each person who is participating in affiliate marketing is seeking to find some sort of "edge" that will put them ahead of their market competition.

Affiliate products can be computer software or electronic books, but they can also be physical things, such as laptop computers or other electronic items. One way to for an affiliate to simplify the business model and make it easier to make sales is to limit the merchandise that she advertises to those that are already widely known. Although it may be possible to profit selling a terrific new product that no one has ever heard of, it is generally a lot easier to advertise a product that the public already wants.

There are quite a few companies that will pay you to promote products that are already popular - MP3 players, computers, or commercial software come to mind. There are many big Internet companies that have affiliate programs, so it is not particularly difficult to promote these kinds of products. Since the general public is already looking for name brand computers, for example, they will be regularly searching for them on the Web. All you need to do is to advertise the product in such a way that the public can find your ad or Website. This is much easier to do than to "create" a market for a new, unknown product.

It can be difficult enough trying to make money on the Internet without making it more challenging by advertising merchandise that no one has ever heard of. Make your job easier by starting small and promoting things the public already knows that they want.

Benefits of Being an Affiliate Marketer

by Scott Soloff

Affiliate marketing has become one of the most effective ways to advertise online. It is also one of the easiest ways for anyone with a website to make a profit online. Affiliate Marketing is an agreement between a merchant and a website owner. The website owner, or the affiliate, allows the use of their site for the promotion of the merchant's products by linking to the merchant's website. In exchange, the merchant pays a commission to the affiliate on all sales generated by the affiliate. Every time someone clicks on the link on the affiliate website and proceeds to make a purchase, the affiliate gets a commission. The merchant will pay the affiliate only when a customer clicks on the product link and makes a purchase.

Affiliate marketing programs are described as a win-win situation for both the merchant and the affiliate because of the pay-for-performance scheme. Both the merchant and the affiliate enjoy some benefits in affiliate marketing. There are many benefits on the merchant's side. It gives the merchant a wider market in which to advertise a product or service. Affiliate marketing will give the product or service the maximum exposure that it may not get with other traditional advertising techniques. The more affiliate sites a merchant has, the higher the traffic, which can convert to sales. Affiliate marketing is the equivalent of having an army of sales people who will do the advertising and will only get a commission if a customer purchases.

Meanwhile, since an affiliate marketing relationship is a win-win situation, the affiliate also enjoys many benefits. Foremost among these is the easy way to make a profit. The affiliate can earn by having an ad or link to the merchant's website, which prospective customers will hopefully click and proceed to make a purchase. As soon as the customer clicks on the ad on the affiliate's site, is redirected to the merchant's website and goes on to buy that particular product, the affiliate earns a commission. The more referrals there are the more profit for the affiliate.

Affiliate marketing is an excellent way to earn money while at home. There are virtually no production costs. The product is already developed and proven by the merchant, and all you have to do to find, as many prospects as you can that will bring in the profit for both the merchant and the affiliate. Affiliate programs are usually free to join, so affiliates do not have to worry about start-up costs. There are thousands of products and services you can choose from. You can find affiliate programs for every product under the sun. Surely, there is a product or service out there that is relevant to your website.

In addition, there is absolutely no sales experience necessary. Most affiliate programs offer excellent support when it comes to providing marketing material. The simplicity of affiliate marketing allows you to be an affiliate marketer at the least cost and the most comfort. You can even build a successful affiliate marketing business right in the convenience of your own home. In affiliate marketing, your responsibility is simply to find prospects for the merchant; you do not have to worry about inventory, order processing, and product shipping. These, along with customer service support are the duties of the merchant.

Because of the global reach of the internet, you can easily find thousands of prospects. You can intensify your advertising campaign by exploiting more aggressive and productive strategies such as viral marketing. By attracting more prospects, you also maximize your potential to earn. Another benefit of an affiliate marketer is the minimal risk involved. If the product you are advertising is not making money then you can dump it and choose another. There are no long-term binding contracts tying you to products that are not making enough money.

All the same, the best benefit of being an affiliate marketer is the opportunity to increase your income; and you can make a profit even if affiliate marketing is only a sideline business. With your own affiliate business, you can earn easily earn extra income, although you do have to exert effort and use your imagination to maximize your earning potential. Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the simplest and most effective business opportunities on the web today.

Affiliates - Do You Know A Good Affiliate Program When You See It?

The following article is one of a series of articles which focus on Affiliate, Article and Internet Marketing. All of the articles are based on real experiences and research done over twenty years as a personal and business coach. They are also written in response to questions which I have been asked as well as address common challenges that people have with affiliate marketing, article marketing, internet marketing or running an online business in general. I sincerely hope that you find the following information of value. One idea, one tip, one clue can make all the difference.

Affiliates, Do You Know A Good Affiliate Program When You See It?

One of the most important things about affiliate marketing is choosing good programs to join. There are certain criteria to look for in order to differentiate the good from the bad. Here are some points to help you choose.

* Firstly check the product. The best performing affiliates actually use their sponsor's products and know them well. Know the market that will need these products and how to create a need for them.

* Check out the company carefully.

* Not everyone can afford high end products so unless you are familiar with special markets who can afford high priced goods stick to the average market of $10-$500. It will be easier for you to promote products in this range.

* Commissions: Be sure the company is offering a decent percentage. If the commission is below 20% ask yourself - will it be worth it.

* The company should also be offering good training and tools, their success lies in your success. The better companies will provide graphics, sample emails, signature ads, forum ads, even websites.

* Since the affiliate's role is to presell to their customers and visitors, check that the company has an effective salespage that leads on from all your hard work to get the visitor to click that link, and then make the sale. If the product is good but the sales letter is not that effective, I have found that the better companies are all to willing to listen to their affiliates and follow up on constructive inputs. After all it is to their benefit to do so.

* Be sure they offer good, quick customer support.

* There should be no obligation for you to buy the product

* There should be a good tracking system, showing your earnings in real time

* The company should have a system in place to prevent theft of your ID

* You should be paid at least once a month and the minimum payout should not be more than $100. Also be sure that the company has a convenient method of paying your commission.

Affiliate, Article and Internet Marketing in general isn't as easy as many would have us believe. I fully understand (through my own experiences) that it is a lot easier said than done. However, you are here, right now, because you have a desire to improve your business, grow your business, and be more successful. These articles are here with the sole intention of helping you to make the whole process a lot easier.

When is a good affiliate program not a good affiliate program? Even when it just seems out of place or not in context with your theme or niche. Just because it's a great product, and paying huge commissions, doe not necessarily mean it's right for your customers.

Think big picture. If you have spent a long time building a loyal customer base who have come to trust your judgement, just make sure that whatever products or services you offer them continues to add value and are totally in keeping with the reasons they have subscribed and / or bought from you before.

With these points you will be able to have a good idea on what to base your decision to join a program on. Carefully check out the affiliate program before joining with these criteria in mind and they will help you make the right decision. Joining the right programs will put you on the road to success.

Our guide "Making You Richer" is a comprehensive affiliate marketing program that not only points you in the direction of the best affiliate marketing companies around, but also highlights the most profitable products to promote. And it does not stop there, it also provides all the tools you need to start promoting - website templates, articles and advertising resources.

NOW is the time!

O.K. you have read the article. Now is the time for action. Without action, this article adds no value whatsoever to your affiliate success. But remember, without action, you cannot blame this affiliate marketing article or any article for that matter. So, take action NOW.

Even if only one piece of advice, one piece of information, one tip makes a difference, then the whole article has been worth it for all of us.

NOW is the time!

Be A Money Maker With Affiliate Programs

Some successful money makers are very fortunate in that they achieve success with their first internet affiliate program experience. The fact that there is numerous money making affiliate program companies to choose from bring discussion on how to choose the "right" company.

Some people believe that, if you join the right company, then you will automatically make it big financially. This is not a true concept. Companies do not make you successful. All money making companies offer an opportunity that you can build. You will find that, no matter how fast any company is growing, the successful money makers who are moving ahead with that company are doing so due to their personal commitment to extra effort.

So how can you choose a company and know for sure that it is right for you? What are the key factors to look for? How can you even be sure a company will stay in business? Since most of the affiliate program opportunities sound good, how can you make the right decision as to which one to join or stay with?

Although there are no absolute answers to these questions, there are very simple guidelines that you can follow to give you better judgment in your decision-making process.

First of all, if you are happy with your present company, don't become confused when listening to money making opportunities with other companies, new companies, and/or so called faster growing companies. Keep the information you receive in perspective. If you've been satisfied with your present company, then strengthen your commitment to that company.

Don't the afraid of missing out on some golden opportunity. Money making opportunities of one kind or another will always be available. Once again, keep things in perspective. Many affiliate programs are similar to network marketing businesses. To be a successful money maker, one has to build an extensive network of down-lines. By making a commitment to support your down-line organization; the majority of them will make a commitment to you.

After a reasonable period of time, if you find that things are not working out with your present company, then you may feel the need for a move to another network marketing opportunity. If you have provided consistent support and leadership to your down-line, the majority of your organization's money makers would most likely stay with you.

The point here is that, although it is very important to be connected with a solid company, it is even more important that you are providing a solid support system for your down-line organization. Don't be too anxious. You will make better decisions by understanding the strengths of your present opportunity rather than joining several new opportunities and looking for a "magic formula". Start you money making affiliate journey today!
